Real Presence IHS Sticker

This sticker measures approximately 3'' tall.

The IHS symbol is a popular Christological monogram. Originally the IHS abbreviation came from the Greek abbreviation of the name of Jesus (ΙΗΣΟΥΣ shortened to ΙΗΣ). The Greek letter sigma (the funny looking E) in Latin is "S", thus forming the IHS monogram. Throughout the centuries this monogram has taken on different meanings, including "Jesus Hominum Salvator", "In Hoc Signo", and others.

In 1541 Saint Ignatius adopted the monogram as one of the main symbols for the Jesuits. However, history teaches us that the IHS symbol is not specifically Jesuit. Rather, IHS is a well known symbol for Jesus. With this classic symbol as inspiration, I took many titles and understandings of Jesus to prayer. From that prayer and reflection came the entire IHS sticker series.

This sticker in particular celebrates Jesus' Real and True Presence in the Eucharist. Intertwined in the IHS monogram is a stunning photo of Jesus, present in the Eucharist. His Real Presence is available to see and pray with in Eucharistic Adoration. The beautiful monstrance provides a reminder that He is always present to us.
